Anthony Edwards is making his return to series television in 2013 with ABC's drama-adventure Zero Hour, portraying Hank Galliston, the publisher of a paranormal enthusiast magazine who is pulled into one of the most compelling mysteries in human history.

Edwards is probably best known as Dr. Mark Greene on the hit series ER. For his portrayal of the overworked but dedicated emergency room doctor, he received four Emmy nominations, and won three Screen Actors Guild Awards and a Golden Globe Award.

Edwards recently executive-produced the HBO biopic Temple Grandin, which won multiple Emmys and Golden Globes. Other producing projects include Don't Go Breaking My Heart and Borderline, starring Sherry Stringfeld. He recently announced that he will serve as executive producer for the documentary film Searching for Home: Coming Back from War, a timely film that chronicles the trials of military veterans' assimilation back into society.

Edwards has starred in more than twenty features, including his memorable turn as Goose in the blockbuster feature Top Gun. Other feature credits include David Fincher's Zodiac, Motherhood, Flipped, the Polish Brothers' Northfork, Thunderbirds, Playing by Heart, The Client, Miracle Mile, Mr. North, Hawks, The Sure Thing, Gotcha, Revenge of the Nerds, Heart Like a Wheel and Fast Times at Ridgemont High. He will next be seen on the big screen in Michael Polish's Big Sur.

Edwards made his film directorial debut with Charley's Ghost Story, a modern-day Mark Twain adaptation starring Cheech Marin and Linda Fiorentino. He also directed several episodes of ER. Other television credits include his recurring role as a hyper allergic lawyer forced to live in a bubble on the critically acclaimed series Northern Exposure. He starred in the series It Takes Two, opposite Richard Crenna, Patty Duke and Helen Hunt, and was also seen in the Showtime special Sexual Healing (Cable Ace nomination), as well as the telefilms El Diablo, HOMETOWN Boy Makes Good, Going for the Gold: The Bill Johnson Story, High School USA and The Killing of Randy Webster.

Edwards is philanthropically involved with Shoe4Africa (shoe4africa.org), a charity that is building a public children's hospital in Kenya. The California native is an avid runner, has his pilot's license and currently lives in New York with his wife, Jeanine Lobell, and their children.
