Complaining about how much cooler things were back in Bayonne
Amber Weaver, the oldest of the Weaver children, is a surly teenager who terrifies her parents and all of the aliens in the neighborhood. Well, except for Reggie Jackson who finds her scary personality and obsession with Mark Ruffalo endearing. Having spent years climbing the social ladder and finally becoming popular at her old high school, Amber now has to start all over again at a new school, thanks to her father who uprooted the entire family without their permission.
Only a teenager, Clara Mamet -- the 17-year-old daughter of playwright and director David Mamet -- is a dynamic actress and writer in her own right. Most recently she appeared in and wrote two one-act, two-character plays, Paris and The Solvit Kids, at the Ruskin Group Theater in Santa Monica.
In addition to appearing in The Neighbors, Mamet will appear in the upcoming Barry Levinson HBO biopic about Phil Spector which stars Al Pacino.
Outside of writing and performing – which includes playing a bluegrass banjo -- Mamet is a huge fan of classic British TV like Absolutely Fabulous, Fawlty Towers and anything by Ricky Gervais. This is just the beginning of a soon to be very bright career.
Mamet resides in Los Angeles.
