  • 4 Small/medium potatoes (peeled and quartered)
  • 1 1/4 cup warm milk
  • 2 Large eggs (lightly beaten)
  • 3/4 cup butter
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 4-1/2 cups bread flour plus extra for kneeding
  • 2-1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast
  • 1 tablespoon extra melted butter for when the doughnuts are ready

    instructions Boil potatoes, then after they are cooled down mash them.

    2 Large eggs (lightly beaten)
    3/4 cup butter
    3/4 cup sugar
    1 teaspoon salt
    4-1/2 cups bread flour
    2-1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast
    instructions In a mixer with the hook attachment place the milk, eggs, room temperature butter, sugar, salt, bread flour and yeast, let the hook work for about 5 minutes till the yeast is activated.

    instructions Add potatoes keep working the dough for about 10 minutes, place onto a floured surface.

    instructions Knead an additional 1/4 to 1/2 cup flour if necessary, the dough has to be really soft but not sticky.

    instructions Place on greased baking sheets; cover with a light weight towel and let rise until almost doubled, about 30 minutes.
