Tone down this spiked beverage by removing the rum and schnapps. The cayenne will add enough of a kick to balance the sweetness of the cocoa.

  • 1/2 cup Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
  • 1/4 cup Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon Ground Cinnamon
  • 3/4 teaspoon Cayenne Powder
  • 1 ounce Dark Rum
  • 1 ounce Cinnamon Schnapps
  • Cinnamon Sticks (for garnish)

    instructions Heat the milk in a large saucepan over medium high heat until simmering. Add cocoa powder, sugar, vanilla extract, cinnamon and cayenne powder, and whisk until cocoa and milk are combined. Serve warm with a cinnamon stick for a garnish.
