At this time of year, it is always a good idea to have a few simple hors d’oeuvres on hand so you’re prepared for an impromptu visitor. Daphne suggests creating a festive wreath on a plate by arranging rosemary sprigs in a ring and topping with olives, mozzarella, and tomatoes. In the center of your wreath, consider adding herbed cheeses, which are quick and easy to prepare. Chop green herbs, roasted red peppers, and cranberries, and roll your favorite soft cheese in the herbs. Spread some crackers on a tray so that guests can create a tomato and mozzarella crostini, or simply enjoy the herbed cheese with a crunch.
