Since we can’t stop thinking about today’s fantasy desserts, why not create a fantasy dessert centerpiece for your holiday table? Transform your freshly baked cookies into a 3-D cookie tree by using a few sizes of star-shaped cookie cutters and your favorite cookie dough. First, cut various size stars out of the dough and bake. Next, stack the stars from largest on the bottom to smallest on the top, and use royal icing as the glue between layers. Then, decorate your single tree, or forest of trees, with icing, powdered sugar, or chocolate ganache. Not only is this table decoration impressive, but your guests can also nibble on the arrangement after dinner if they crave something sweet!
