Rachel P, a working mom with 4 year old and twins, needs breakfast foods that will give her the energy she needs to get through the day.
Daphe's suggestions: A whole grain piece of bread with a spread of almond butter, or banana and yogurt, or oatmeal with honey, hazelnuts or walnuts. The goal is to get a little bit of fat and a little bit of protein. The reason why breakfast is so important is because it's your first meal after you wake up. Since sleep is essentially your body hibernating, a healthy breakfast (with a little bit of fat and a little bit of protein) is essential to kick start your metabolism for the day. Check out Daphne telling you all about it above.
