Today’s diner delights has the co-hosts reminiscing about a variety about old trends: roller-skating and rollerblading, in particular. As a kid, Carla went to the roller derby with her family every Sunday, and now she has a hunch that roller-skating is making a comeback. In fact, Carla has found three roller derby locations in New York, and she plans to make a return to the rink.

Michael, however, does not plan to fall back into past trends. He recalls rollerblading with a date, when she took a romantic tumble down a hill, breaking her arm and forever preventing Michael from gearing up in skates again. Bet we can guess Michael won’t be joining Carla for her homecoming to the roller derby.

Do you think roller-skating is making a comeback? How about rollerblading and hoola-hooping? What other trends from your childhood would you like to see make a comeback?
