On today’s Last Bites, all talk turns to Bingo in honor of Daphne’s trip to Austin this past weekend. While in Texas, Daphne tapped into the latest trend: Friday Night Bingo. With official boards and marker pens, Daphne and her husband gave in to the craze and competed to win the jackpot, which clocked in at around $750.
While Michael associates Bingo with afternoons in a Church basement, Daphne informs the co-hosts that the game has definitely evolved since then. Now, a number of variations exist, one of which involves a wild card number, in which a number will be chosen and the players have to dot any space on their board that has that number in some form. In keeping with these modern day Bingo trends, it’s only fitting that Clinton devotes a Craft Corner to decorating stylish Bingo boards so the Chew Crew is prepared when they hang up their aprons and attend a Bingo competition for a day.
