Dear Fabby Answers Your Questions

  • By The Chew Crew
Dear Fabby is back and ready to answer even your toughest questions.  Check out the latest questions and answers.

Question 1: New Year's Resolutions

elysek07: You always seem so calm and collected even with an insane TV schedule. Any tips for better managing my time this year?

Fabby: Elysek07, my biggest piece of advice to you for 2013 is make a to do list at the end of the day for the following day. If you don’t write it down, chances are, it won’t happen.

Also, allow yourself to watch one hour of uninterrupted TV a day. If you go beyond an hour, make sure you’re doing something else productive at the same time.

Try cleaning, working out, ironing or cooking a new recipe while enjoying an episode of your favorite show!

Question 2: Getting in Shape and Looking Great

lawlesslaura67:  My hubby gained a good 20 over the holidays. Help me get him out of dad jeans and into a letterman jacket like the good old days!

Fabby: Well, lawless Laura, I always say that men are like dogs and I love dogs, so that’s not a bad thing!  However, they need positive reinforcement just like a dog. If they do something right, they get a treat. If not, withhold it.

If you really love your husband, you should accept him for who he is and how he looks.  I will say that every guy could easily change his style with four upgrades – a  suede shoe, a button down shirt, a new jacket and a dark jean.

Questions 3: New Job

joy2thwrld:  I need a new job, like it's my job! New year, new me! What's the key to killing it in my interviews?!

Fabby:  You sound like a joy, joy2thworld! I always say you should treat an interview like you’re on a first date with someone. Whoever talks least during the interview, usually wins. It’s always worked for me.

also, make sure you know the job you are interviewing for. You want to be likeable, memorable and should dress one step higher than the normal person dresses at the office, but don’t overdress.  Wear something you’ll be remembered by whether it’s a bright top or a statement piece of jewelry.

Question 4: Bucket List

schmarci: I have never crossed anything off my bucket list because I don't even have one.  How can I be as adventurous as you this year?!

Fabby: Well, schmarci, I want you to start by picturing how you see yourself five to ten years from now and write everything down.

If you want something to happen in your future, you have to see it visually first in order to make it happen. So, make your own inspiration board using photos and clippings from magazines.
