As part of this week’s American Originals series, Mario Batali visits his all time favorite sandwich shop, Joe Doe in New York City. From The JoseDoe Cubano to The Conflicted Jew, the sandwich options at Joe Doe are rather unique. 

In this creative kitchen, Mario has the chance to create an original American sandwich of his own in honor of the Super Bowl. Chock-full of brisket, chili, and tortilla chips, Mario’s creation is over-the-top incredible, as proven when the co-hosts sample this multi-layer mouthful.
