Chew Correspondent Jamika Pessoa wraps up the American Original series with a trip to Buffalo, New York. While upstate, Jamika visits Anchor Bar Restaurant to taste the original Buffalo chicken wings. These addictive snacks came to be back in 1964 when Dominic Bellissimo’s friends stopped by the hot spot, asking for a bite. Dominic asked his mother, Teressa, to whip up something delicious, and what did she come up with? Fried chicken wings coated in a secret sauce. A bit outrageous at first, these chicken wings soon became a popular request around the place, and around the country.
