Want a quick and easy way to guarantee you won’t get too drunk at your next company party? Take a look at the shape of your glass, which may — at least in part — encourage drinkers to overindulge. The reason, scientists say, is simple: A curved glass interferes with the ability to judge alcohol intake. A straight-sided highball glass causes people to drink slower, while a curvy pint glass causes us to drink faster. After an epic five-hour tennis match, Andy Murray took his 30-person entourage to New York hotspot Hakkasan and racked up a pretty pricey bill. He arrived at the Chinese diner about half an hour after closing and the staff reopened the joint. The tab ended up at $6,448 and he left a $1,289 tip. Apparently, all Andy had was one lemon soda.
