Crimes & Misdemeanors: Dog napping
Description: The frowned upon, and thankfully rare, act of stealing another person's canine companion. Suspects usually include a gay couple trying to save their relationship and spoiled children vying for their parent's affection. Unlike a human kidnapping, ransom is rarely demanded. The perpetrator really just wants to give some belly rubs in exchange for some wet kisses.
Past Victims: Bo, a Portuguese water dog. Mille, who's a spring spaniel. And the first victim, Checkers, a cocker spaniel. Victims were never located, but police believe that someone in a very high position is behind the jobs.
Latest victim: Yakult Royce, some kind of doodle.
Variations: Though dog napping is the most preferred animal theft in Chatswin, there have also been instances of owl napping, cat napping and alligator napping. Though it's suspected the alligators may have had something to do with the cats' disappearing.
