Break Up

Description: The dissolve of a romantic relationship due to irreconcilable differences, including but not limited to: infidelity, indifference or one party chunking up.

Fall out: The civility of the process depends on the maturity of the individuals.  Partners who shared a residence typically divide their possessions and move to separate domiciles.  Those pairs that have produced children often feud over who gets custody of the offspring.  The estranged couple often competes to see who is “winning the break up.”  Some popular tactics are: bribing the children to love you more, dating someone far to young for you and posting overly happy Facebook statuses.
