Town Barbecues
Organizer: New settlers in Chatswin
Attendees: Various local tribes
Ceremonial Dress: Casual Chic
Description: A rite of passage wherein new Chatswin residents bestow offerings of sacred meats, cobbed corn and fermented beverages upon the town elders in hopes of acceptance into their society. The ritual begins with the ceremonial lighting of the Kingsfords, which leads into assertions of dominance to determine who first partakes of the bounty. There is also lemonade. In the past, failure to comply with the custom resulted in banishment, but the standards have loosened of late and violators are merely shunned with no hope of status recovery.
