It would probably be best to let the week’s events pass without further comment, but I feel that if I don’t defend myself, people will just assume I have no situational awareness. And that is not true. I was simply blinded by the desire to help someone. My other four senses were completely intact… except for hearing. I could probably stand to listen to people a little better. Regardless, I have fully justified reasons for my actions.
First off, everything I did, I did for love. It pains me to see anyone yearning for their soul mate… even if that soul mate is a perp. Sure that sort of makes me a rat, but the point is I saw someone in need and I tried to help them. There’s something to be applauded there.
Secondly, there was no reason to believe Josh was not gay, because my gaydar has never been wrong. Ricky Martin – called it when I was seven. Suze Orman – called it when I was five. Kevin Kline in “In & Out” – called it the first two minutes of the movie… and I was four. So don’t try to chalk this one up to an overzealous imagination. My assumptions about Josh were based on a sound system that has yielded 100% accurate results since its creation. The system just needs a slight recalibration due to the new year.
So, in closing, I was trying to help someone find love. That doesn’t seem so terrible to me. Accidentally tipping off police to the school quarterback is a bit more problematic. But Dave Donsky was dealing drugs so, again, not entirely my fault.
