While on shift, Tyler stopped by to pay Daniel a visit. Daniel was sober, but Tyler convinced him to have a drink. While Daniel’s back was turned, Tyler slipped something into Daniel’s glass that later made him seem like he was drunk (he was just drugged). Jack wasn’t happy when he had to run back to the bar to take over for Daniel who had passed out in the back.

Daniel relents and assumes his place in his family’s company. Needless to say, Tyler isn’t thrilled about his return because he had been working to make himself invaluable to Conrad.
