In a meeting to convince Conrad to get Jack out of jail, Amanda reveals that Matt Duncan is the person who killed Nate and Kenny Ryan’s father. Jack doesn’t want to blow the whistle on his father’s old friend and Matt is not going to turn himself in.

He also writes Kenny a check for $50,000 so he’ll sign the bar back to Jack. He had a change of heart after Ashley convinced him that this would do wonders for his public image and political aspirations.
