If granted, this act would give Daniel control of Grayson Global (and by extension Victoria). After a talk with his father, Conrad agreed, but only if one of two conditions are met. Daniel must wait until he turns 30 or gets married, whichever comes first. Conrad believed he was so clever because, from his point of view, he would come out ahead no matter what. He would look like the good guy because he granted his son’s request. In addition, he wouldn’t have to cede control because he had zero faith in Daniel and Emily’s relationship lasting. A double-win in his mind.

Conrad began to have to have second thoughts about his foolproof plan. That’s why he arranged for Daniel to meet a beautiful woman who is looking to do more than invest with Grayson Global. Conrad wanted a way of assuring that his son cool things with Emily. Unfortunately for Conrad, the plan didn’t work.

He went to his mother and explained that it would be a win-win situation if he married Emily. He would get control of the company AND he would marry the woman he loved. Victoria didn’t exactly see it that way though.
