A young Jack Porter was there the day social services took his friend Amanda away. He promised to take care of Sammy, the dog that belonged to the little girl he used to play with on the beach. The loyal pooch recognizes his original owner the moment she returns home. He can’t stay away from her. As for Jack, he’s quite fond of Emily, too. He puts his feelings out there only to be rejected. Getting involved with Jack is simply not part of Emily’s plan.
