Daniel eventually quits his job at The Stowaway to work for his dad at Grayson Global where he is in competition with Tyler. After Daniel learns his mom was having Emily investigated, he packs a bag to move in with the woman he loves. Later, Daniel reels in a $50 million dollar investor thanks to Emily. He tells Conrad that Tyler blackmailed Nolan Ross with the sex video to score his investment. When Daniel learns that his dad still won’t fire Tyler, he promises to help Victoria get whatever she wants out of her impending divorce. He also mentions to his mom that Amanda Clark is back in town.
