Season Two
All the major players are back this season along with a couple of new faces. Emily is continuing her mission of revenge with the added task of trying to figure out what happened to her mother. Secrets were uncovered and it is discovered that when Emily was a child, her mother (Kara) tried to drown her and was placed in a mental hospital. After Amanda’s accident at Grayson Manor, Kara comes back and is clearly unstable. Emily eventually mends her relationship with her mother and leaves Emily’s life as abruptly as she returned. Aided in her mission to find her mother and seek revenge is Aiden, an old lover and fellow student of Takeda’s. Aiden was originally recruited by his sensei after his sloppy attempt to shoot a Russian mobster who had kidnapped and forced Colleen (his sister) into a life of drug abuse and prostitution.
The Graysons are dealing with troubles of their own. It turns out that Victoria faked her death and went into hiding after the plane crash. She had been working out a deal with Gordon for her and Charlotte to get new identities and escape. When her plans fell apart, Victoria schemed with Conrad to sick the police after Gordon instead. With nothing left to lose, Gordon attacked Emily in an attempt to retrieve an exonerating video, but ended up being shot by Aiden.
Daniel has been working with the Initiative and scheming to take over his father’s company. By “accident” (still unknown if this was an accident or not), Padma clued Daniel in to Grayson Global’s possible ownership of NolCorp, which turned out to be true. All while this was going on, Daniel had been guided into doing certain deals by Helen Crowley. Victoria was afraid the Initiative would do to Daniel what they did to David so she took care of Helen permanently (she killed her). Since Conrad was no longer employed, he decided he needed something new for himself. With the purchase of Ryans’ share of the Stowaway, he planned on converting Montauk (starting with the Stowaway) into the next Atlantic City and then move on to the Governor’s mansion. The casino business didn’t work out for him, but a run for Governor is still in his sights.
The Porter’s life becomes very interesting this year. Amanda has returned and is very pregnant. During her baby shower Amanda has a heated discussion with Victoria about David Clarke. The discussion ends with Amanda accidently falling off a 2nd story balcony; putting the life of her and baby in jeopardy. Eventually both of them pull through and she and Jack name their son Carl David Porter (after each of their fathers). As for Declan, he gets involved with the wrong crowd and ends up being caught for robbing homes. What he doesn’t know is the botched robbery was setup by the same man he robbed, Kenny Ryan (and his brother Nate). The brothers are looking for payback because years earlier Jack and Declan’s dad had a connection to the murder of their father. Through shady deals and a bit of manipulation, the two of them weasel their way into partial ownership of the Stowaway and start using it as a front for their criminal activities. Jack is not happy with this and arranges for the police to raid his bar (and get them arrested). The Ryans are warned of this and Jack is arrested instead. It would have been the end for Jack if not for the “charitable” nature of Conrad. The senior Grayson springs Jack and buys out the Ryans’ share of the bar to boot. Nate isn’t too happy about this turn of events. He meets with Conrad to find out what happened. Conrad gives him the scoop and implies that if Nate takes care of the Jack & Amanda problem, the casino would move forward with him still involved. Nate takes action and hides on Jack’s boat when the couple disembarks on their honeymoon. He emerges the next morning with a gun and every intention of hurting Jack and Amanda. This encounter didn’t end well for anyone though; Jack is shot, Nate blows up the boat and kills himself, Amanda dies in the aftermath, and Emily loses a friend.
MORE TO COME…
Season One
This is not a story about forgiveness; Revenge is a show about retribution. Meet Emily Thorne, the newest resident of The Hamptons. When she was a little girl (and known as Amanda Clarke) her father, David Clarke, was framed for a horrific crime and subsequently sent to prison. While serving his time, the conspirators plotted and murdered David in order to prevent the truth from coming out. Emily is now back with a new identity and ready to take vengeance on the people that murdered her father and stole her childhood.
Central to all the conspirators are Victoria and Conrad Grayson. Conrad is CEO of Grayson Global, David’s old employer, and Victoria is Conrad’s wife (David’s old lover to boot). At first we believe these two power players are the masterminds of the cover up, but we soon realize that they are only the tip of the iceberg.
Emily’s friend, Nolan Ross, is there to aid Emily in her plans. Most notably, Nolan provides assistance to Emily is the areas of electronic surveillance and espionage and keeps Emily’s childhood friend and current secret love, Jack Porter, out of harm’s way.
Nothing will stop Emily’s pursuit of justice and no one is off limits.
