A woman of boutiques and brunches, Dina is Marta’s best friend and Mike’s loyal and caring wife. Her willful blindness to her husband's transgressions puts a strain on her relationship with Marta. The two grow apart as Marta is drawn deeper into the criminal world with Schiller, while Dina wants things to be the way they were before Evan's death. As Dina's eyes are opened to the reality surrounding Mike, she will eventually need to choose: Her husband or Marta?
Suleka Mathew is well known to television audiences for her co-starring roles in Da Vinci's Inquest, Men in Trees, Hawthorne and now Red Widow. Most recent guest starring roles include NCIS, Flashpoint and the murder mystery Good Morning Killer. Additional television credits include recurring roles on The West Wing, Dead Zone, The Crow and the Hallmark miniseries Final Days of Planet Earth.
Mathew has worked extensively for over 20 years as a professional actress in film, radio and in theatre as well.
Her independent film credits include Ian Iqbal Rashid's Sundance hit, Touch of Pink, The Score and Republic of Love. She was also part of the multi-discipline cast of the award-winning film, Shadow Pleasures, inspired by the work of Michael Ondaatje. In addition, Mathew narrated the novel "The Sad Truth About Happiness," by Anne Giardini, for CBC Radio, as well as "The Management of Grief" by Bharati Mukherjee.
Mathew was born in India and raised in Canada.
