Prince James was dead—slain in battle just after winning the task to kill a dragon for King Midas and save his father, King George’s kingdom. King George made a deal with Rumplestiltskin to have his heir replaced with his long-lost twin brother, a simple shepherd. With all odds stacked against him, the shepherd killed the beast and became the new Prince James. Unfortunately, as James’ replacement, he was betrothed to King Midas’ daughter.
