But Snow and Charming weren’t the only ones who needed to know more about the Curse. After her first attempt to cast it failed, the Queen had no choice but to consult with Rumplestiltskin, the person who she had gotten it from in the first place. His asking price seemed trivial—comfort and wealth in the new land created by the Curse and that the Queen would have to do whatever he may ask so long as he said “please.” The Queen figured since no one but her would have any memory of Fairy Tale Land, there was no harm in agreeing. Rumple told her how to enact the Curse—by sacrificing the heart of the thing she loved most. The Queen did just that and the Curse was cast.
