While Gold, Emma and Henry were on their way to find Baelfire, Cora reunited with Regina, who had been ostracized from the rest of Storybrooke now that The Curse had been broken. Unable to overcome her love for her mother and her need to get Henry back, Regina accepted Cora’s help. The two of them began to plot to recover Rumplestiltskin’s dagger, which would control him, and thus give them control of Storybrooke. David and Mary Margaret got to the dagger first, but when Regina and Cora threatened a close friend, Mary Margaret had no choice but to give it to them. Cora murdered her friend anyway and took the dagger, waiting for Mr. Gold’s inevitable return to Storybrooke.
