Little is known about Princess Aurora, also known as “Sleeping Beauty”, from the time before she was cursed by Maleficent. She had found True Love with Prince Philip, but the wicked, shape-shifting sorceress had used the poisoned needle of a spinning wheel to send her into an endless, horrible sleep. Prince Philip was able to save her, with the help of Mulan, but his soul was soon taken by a Wraith, cutting their reunion short. Princess Aurora and Mulan aided Emma and Mary Margaret in their race against Cora and Captain Hook to get back to Storybrooke, and the two moved on from there, hoping to find a way to save their beloved Philip.
