Snow White and Prince Charming are desperate to be together, but everyone seems hell-bent on keeping them apart. Charming’s “father,” King George, won’t hear of it. He needs Charming to marry Abigail, King Midas’ daughter, in order to secure a fortune in gold. When Snow White sneaks into his castle to tell Charming how much she loves him, he has her thrown in the dungeon. There, she meets Grumpy the Dwarf, and with the help of Stealthy, another Dwarf, the two of them try to escape. Grumpy makes it out, Stealthy is killed and Snow White is captured once again. This time, King George forces her to tell Charming that she doesn’t love him, and if she refuses, then he’ll have his “son” killed! With no other choice, Snow goes through with it, breaking Charming’s heart and her own.
Grumpy and the other Dwarfs take her in, but her pain is too great. She had traded a strand of her hair to Rumplestiltskin for a potion that would make her forget Charming and ease her pain. Now, with her beloved set to marry another, she despairs once more. When Grumpy arrives back at the cottage to tell her the good news—that Charming ran away from his wedding and is looking for her—it’s too late. She doesn’t remember a thing about him.
