Back in Storybrooke, Sidney is trying to convince Emma that she needs to do whatever it takes to expose Regina. He claims he's found evidence that $50,000 is missing from the budget and after Regina has Henry's "castle" torn down and his book goes missing, Emma secretly plants a bug in Regina's office to get to the bottom of this. Sidney picks up Regina's half of a phone call arranging a meet-up between her and someone she's paying off. Emma and Sidney follow her to the meet, but the brakelines in Emma's squadcar have been cut! After yet another minor crash—Emma seems to get into a lot of those—the pair run into none other than Mr. Gold, who states he just sold some land to the Mayor. Emma and Sidney break into the Mayor's office to find out what she could be doing with the property.
