In Storybrooke, Henry meets a blonde girl around his age named Ava an her brother Nicholas. He thinks he’s making some new friends, but when the shopkeeper accuses the three of them of stealing, he realizes they were only talking to him so they could use him as an unwitting accomplice. Regina shows up to clear Henry’s name, and Emma arrives to take care of the kids. They swear they’re just trying to help their poor parents, but Emma discovers the two are actually homeless and living alone to avoid being separated in the foster care system. Emma comes up with a plan to track down the children’s father and convince him to take the kids in.
