The Queen tries to seduce The Huntsman into carving out Snow White’s heart. He doesn’t fall for her charms, but he promises to do the deed if it means hunting wolves will be outlawed in her realm. When she agrees, he poses as one of the Queen’s knights. At first it doesn’t go so well—she figures out he’s not who he claims to be, hits him and makes a run for it. She knows she has no chance of escaping, so she spends what she thinks will be her last few moments writing a letter to her wicked step-mother. The Huntsman reads it and, instead of carving out her heart, lets her go. The Huntsman tries to pass off a deer’s heart for Snow White’s and of course the Queen figures it out. She asked for a heart, and she gets one. She takes The Huntsman’s! But he’s not dead, he’s just forced to be her unfeeling pet forever.
