David does finally figure out what he wants and it’s…Mary Margaret! To everyone’s surprise he leaves his wife, Kathryn and tells Mary Margaret that she’s the one. She’s still not sure if she can break up his marriage, so he tells her to meet him at the Toll Bridge at 8 o’clock that night if she decides she wants to give it a shot. On his way there, David gets turned around and winds up at Mr. Gold’s Pawnshop where he sees that old windmill and suddenly remembers everything about his life in Storybrooke. When Mary Margaret shows up at the bridge, he has to tell her that he’s remembered and that he feels it’s only right that he try to work things out with Kathryn. It breaks Mary Margaret’s heart and she winds up having drinks with Dr. Whale.
