In Fairy Tale Land, we meet young Jiminy. He seems like a nice kid, but he's forced by his parents to pick pockets while they put on an innocent-looking puppet show. He hates the life and always asks to get out, but his parents won't let him. Even as a young man, he's trapped. So trapped, that when Rumplestiltskin offers him a potion to give to his parents that will free him of them forever, he takes it without regard for what it would actually do. He just can't take the life of crime anymore.
