Ever since they were separated, Prince Charming can’t get Snow White out of his head. He decides he can’t marry Abigail, but his “father”, King George, won’t hear of it. You see, Charming isn’t the first Prince James. He had a twin brother who also didn’t really belong to King George, but was instead procured from some commoners by Rumplestiltskin. When the original Prince James was killed, King George made a deal with Rumplestiltskin to find a replacement. Charming gave up his life as a shepherd to become the new Prince, slay a dragon and win the hand of Abigail, King Midas’ daughter, along with a ton of gold for King George. If the marriage is off, so is the payment, so King George does anything he can to keep Snow and Charming apart.
When Snow White tries to break into King George’s castle, he captures her and threatens to kill Charming if she doesn’t break things off. She lies to the man she loves and breaks Prince Charming’s heart before going off to live with The Seven Dwarfs. But Charming doesn’t believe Snow could really have meant what she said, so he incurs his adoptive father’s wrath and runs off to find her. Meanwhile, she takes a potion that she got from Rumplestiltskin that erases all memory of Prince Charming and her pain at losing him.
