Have you ever seen something in someone that he didn’t even see in himself? Belle is nothing if not fearless, a fact she proved when she willingly gave herself over to Rumplestiltskin to fulfill her father’s debt. That same courage allows her to look past Rumple’s beastly exterior to see—perhaps even to love—the broken man underneath. However, just when their relationship seemed like it might flourish, Rumple cast Belle out, and when the curse struck she became the Evil Queen’s captive. Held in an insane asylum for twenty-eight years, she is finally free and able to live life on her own terms for the first time. Strong-willed and fiercely independent, no man is Belle’s master.
