Phil makes the most of his home alone time by wiring everything in the house to his computer tablet. He later invites new pal Dave (guest star Matthew Broderick) over to watch some football. Phil's nervous guest thinks this is a date. It could have something to do with the dim lighting, romantic music and roaring fire that are accidentally triggered by Phil. After a couple of spilled margaritas, the two shirtless football fans plan to take the party upstairs for the second half. Fortunately for Phil, Dave isn't ready to take things to that next level. A goodbye kiss finally clues in Phil as to how close he just came to some unexpected halftime festivities.
