A disenchanted Luke no longer wants to be a magician. Phil will allow his son to leave the world of the dark arts as soon as he executes the Butler’s Escape. It’s a well-known trick (at least, Phil knows about it) that involves breaking out of a black straitjacket and red bow tie. The Great Lukini wriggles free in record time, but the magic of magic is gone. Phil learns that the reason his son wants to make this hobby disappear is because he’s being razzed by other kids. He also learns how to semi-master the Butler’s Escape with a little help from his top apprentice. With nothing up their sleeves, father and son share a nice hug knowing that the real trick in life is doing what you love no matter what anyone else thinks.
