Todd shocks everyone when he claims he suffers PTSD, and thus was not of sound mind when committing his crimes. McBain and Carly are skeptical.

Maxie begs Britt to re-impregnate her with Dante and Lulu's baby, but Britt needs to run medical tests first. Later on, Britt tells Maxie she is already pregnant. Meanwhile, Spinelli tells Maxie everything has changed ... and that he is with Ellie. Ellie despairs she has no feeling in her legs, but later, she has a breakthrough.

Lulu and Dante go in search of Luke, and Lulu assumes the worst.

Both Tracy and AJ view Lucy's insanity as an opportunity: Tracy can axe Lucy, while AJ tries to lure Lucy away from Tracy by saying he believes her.

Lucy forges a tentative bond with Heather.
