TJ levels Alexis with an accusation – she doesn't like him with Molly because he is black. Alexis loses it trying to prove she is not a racist, and she and Shawn ultimately agree to the couple with ground rules.

Steve asks Alexis to represent his mother, but she refuses. Despite her deep reservations, Olivia supports Steve as he tries to prevent Heather from going to jail.

Epiphany narrowly misses Patrick self-medicating, and Ramon suggests he knows how really is stealing drugs from the hospital.
