On the witness stand at Sonny's trial, Kate gets uncomfortable with the line of questioning. Alexis manages to get Anthony's sworn statement ruled inadmissible -- but Anthony arrives ready to do his civic duty, much to Starr's relief. But after Alexis pokes holes in Anthony's account, Sonny's fate is left in the hands of the jury.

Meanwhile, Carly and Johnny skip out on the rest of the trial and do some bonding with Josslyn.

Matt confesses his love to Maxie, and she is about to tell Matt the truth about Lisa Niles' murder just as Spinelli stumbles in. With the moment lost, Maxie demands they both move on.

Accusing Luke of playing on Anna's grief, Tracy later comes clean why she married Anthony. Later, Luke and Tracy discuss her options to be free of Anthony finally.
