1997: Still drinking to cope with his guilt, A.J. (now played by Billy Warlock) had a one-night stand with Carly Roberts, who at the time was lusting after Jason. Carly ended up pregnant, but she first told everyone that the baby was her boyfriend Tony Jones's. Then, when that relationship floundered, she got Jason to say the baby was his, keeping A.J. in the dark.
