Nancy made her 1980 TV debut in an episode of Little House on the Prairie, then spent two years playing secretary Beverly Wilkes on One Life to Live. She soon scored guest spots on Magnum, P.I., The Incredible Hulk, Knight Rider, and Murder, She Wrote. Her big break came when she joined the cast of Santa Barbara, where she stayed for nine years as attorney Julia Wainwright -- and won the 1989 Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Supporting Actress. After making guest appearances on Models Inc. and Murder One, Nancy became a regular on General Hospital -- as attorney Alexis Davis -- in 1996. While filming GH, she played the same character in the GH spin-off Port Charles and had a recurring role on Melrose Place.
Nancy is the second of three daughters. Thanks to her choreographer parents, she started doing musical theater as a kid. After graduating from high school, she moved to New York City to become an actor. She now lives in Los Angeles and is a single mom; Nancy describes daughter Katherine as "heaven on a stick."
