Good news for longtime General Hospital fans -- for everyone, really -- as Sean Kanan will be returning to the show, nearly 20 years after he last played troubled Quartermaine heir A.J.
Kanan played A.J. when the black-sheep Quartermaine caused the car accident that led his good-guy brother Jason to lose his memory and begin his life as eventual mob enforcer Jason Morgan. After Kanan left the role, A.J. continued to cause problems, fathered Carly's son Michael, and was eventually murdered in 2005. So ... is he or isn't he coming back? That's the question! Whether Kanan will play A.J. again or someone new (think Sarah Brown returning as Claudia Zacchara), he's not saying. But he spoke to TVGuide.com about his feelings on the eve of his return.
"GH is one of those places I never thought I'd see again and that makes what's happened even more exciting."
Look for Kanan to make his on-air return on October 29th.
