Past Participant Bio

LaRhonda comes from a big family which includes three brothers and three sisters. She remembers going on her first diet when she was eight years old. It was a time when she was weighing in at over a hundred pounds. A rough family life led LaRhonda to seek comfort in television and food. She endured criticism from both schoolmates and family. So, LaRhonda became a "sneak eater."

In high school, LaRhonda found something that made her truly happy—the marching band. She won the highest title in her school, "Centennial Miss Douglass." She was 230 pounds at the time, but kept gaining weight as the years went on.

LaRhonda resides in Oklahoma City, where she's a college senior and works for the postal service. Long work hours mixed in with a full college workload make it tough to find time to hit the gym and stick to healthy eating habits. We're hoping that the show helps LaRhonda find a way to make some changes that'll allow her to enjoy a happy, healthy life.
