The All-Stars continue to give their all with the full knowledge that one couple will fall. They need to bring their A-game to either the jive or quickstep in Week 2.

Melissa & Tony: It’s time to jive and it’s time to “Shout” as Melissa and Tony do their fun routine to the classic tune from the Isley Brothers. Len says Melissa has set the bar very high with this high-energy dance. Bruno says that it was one of the fastest jives he’s ever seen even though he noticed a few faults. Carrie Ann liked the dance and feels that Melissa was made to jive. 8, 8 and 7.5 gives them a total of 23.5 for the night.

Bristol & Mark: These two do a super-quick quickstep with a Wild West feel. Bruno says Bristol was not in hold enough during the routine. She needs to work on her technique. Carrie Ann agrees about the holds stating that the rules are that they can’t be broken in the middle of the routine though she loves watching her perform. Len liked the hoedown but didn’t care for the lowdown. Trip 6s gives them a total of 18 for the night.

Helio & Chelsie: Helio is known for going fast on the race track. Well, he’s also pretty speedy on the dance floor as he proves in his jive with Chelsie. Carrie Ann says that Helio’s body caught up with his charm this week. Len says he has style with a smile. He got a little overenthusiastic, but overall it was great. Bruno says the little slips don’t take away from the fun of the dance. Scores of 8, 7.5 and 7.5 gives them a total of 23 for the night.

Apolo & Karina: It’s another quick quickstep as Apolo and Karina hit the dance floor with style. Len give Apolo a gold medal for his combination of speed and control. Bruno feels his footwork was incredible. Carrie Ann felt Apolo was truly driving the dance and that what’ll win this thing. 8.5, 8 and 8 gives them a total of 24.5.

Sabrina & Louis: Sabrina does her best to get past an injury she sustained during a rehearsal accident as she and Louis do their fine quickstep. Bruno likens Sabrina to Ginger Rogers in this true dazzler of a dance. Carrie Ann thought she had such grace in her dynamic dance. Len says she kept her upper body calm and under control while her legs were truly working it. 9, 8.5 and 8.5 gives them a total of 26 and the first 9 of the season.

Kirstie & Maks: Kirstie dons a short black wig for her sexy jive with Maks. Carrie Ann says Kirstie just proved that age is just a number because she was totally working it. Len felt it was neat, precise and a great improvement from last week. Bruno believes this raunchy momma played things perfectly. Trip 7s gives them a total of 21 for the night.

Emmitt & Cheryl: Emmitt heats up the dance floor as he and Cheryl do their quickstep to “A Cool Cat in Town.” Len likes Emmitt’s cool, smooth attitude but the routine was lacking sway. Bruno says Emmitt has red hot chemistry with Cheryl, but agrees with Len about the frame. Carrie Ann says the speed skater and the race car driver did a little better than him tonight. She wants the football player to bring his A-game. 7.5, 7.5 and 7.5 gives them a total of 22.5.

Drew & Anna: There’s lots of bad boy and bad girl attitude in Drew and Anna’s kinetic jive. Bruno says Drew let all that aggression out with his attack, but he needs to be careful to not go flat-footed. Carrie Ann says they’ve never seen such an edgy dance. Len says “Bottom-Two Drew” certainly doesn’t deserve to be in the bottom two this week. 7.5, 7.5 and 7.5 gives them a total of 22.5 for the night.

Joey & Kym: Joey channels his inner-Charlie Chaplin for his fun, and funny, quickstep with Kym. Carrie Ann says they are looking for technique but also for fun performances like that one. However, there were some mistakes. Len made a list of the mistakes but he still really enjoyed the entertainment of it all. Bruno agrees with the entertainment factor, but technically it could have been better. 7.5, 7.5 and 7.5 gives them a total of 22.5.

Shawn & Derek: Shawn and Derek go back to the days of Hairspray for their lively jive to “The Nicest Kids in Town.” Len thought there was just enough of everything but he wants to see more from Shawn. Bruno thinks the dance was just fine the way it was and there was no need for more. Carrie Ann agrees that the dance was just great. 8.5, 8 and 8.5 gives them a total of 25 for the night.

Kelly & Val: As the fog dissipates from the stage, Kelly and Val take to the floor to do a fine quickstep to Selena Gomez’s “Who Says.” Bruno says Kelly looked extremely elegant but she needs to watch her holds. Carrie Ann says she needs to extend her lines more to dance bigger. Len liked the dancing when she was out of holds. Overall, he felt it was a well done dance. 7.5, 7 and 7.5 gives them a total of 22.

Gilles & Peta: Gilles had a severe strain in his hamstring, but that doesn’t stop him from hitting the dance floor hard for his fine jive with Peta. Carrie Ann says she’s seeing a little John Travolta thing happening here. Len agrees that he attacked the jive fabulously. Bruno just adds to the raves of his fellow judges. Gilles dedicates his dance to his dad who passed away 17 years ago to the day. 8.5, 8.5 and 8.5 gives them a score of 25.5 for the night.
