Performance Show – Week 10

The finals are here. Each team will dance twice. The first routine will be the judges’ pick. The second will be the always popular freestyle dance. IT ALL COMES DOWN TO THIS!

William & Cheryl
William and Cheryl get a little coaching from Bruno during rehearsals for their first dance of the night. Len says the dance was as good of a Cha Cha as he’s seen in 14 seasons. Bruno says it was an intoxicating Cuban cocktail with great hip action. Carrie Ann says William has grown miles and that’s what the show is all about. Trip 10s gives them a perfect 30 to kick off the night in style.

When it comes time for this team’s freestyle dance, Len says that what William does, he does well. But, for him, the dance was too predictable. All he does is shake his butt to get the women screaming. Bruno says they were sinful, but ever so good. Carrie Ann says their dance was exactly what a freestyle should be. 10-9-10 gives them a 29 for this dance and a total of 59 for the night.

Katherine & Mark
Katherine and Mark get a visit from Len during rehearsals before they perform their Paso Doble in the ballroom. Bruno says the dance was full of lush, vivid artistry with technical brilliance. Carrie Ann says it was like watching a prima ballerina. Len said the dance was fabulous and very satisfying. Trip 10s gives them the second perfect 30 of the night. It was also Katherine’s first 10 from Len.

Katherine actually sings to kick off her freestyle dance with Mark. Bruno says he’s never seen so much swing content jammed into one dance. Carrie Ann says that was the dance of a champion. Len says if he’s asleep and dreaming that he doesn’t want to wake up. Trip 10s gives them a 30 for this dance and a perfect 60 on the night.

Donald & Peta
Carrie Ann stops by to give Donald and Peta some advice during rehearsals. She later says she thought there was a lot more crispness in Donald’s moves. Len liked the lifts, as always, but felt it was a bit careful. Bruno says Donald went for the subtle, intimate storytelling which was very effective. 10-9-10 gives them a total of 29 for this first dance.

Donald and Peta tackle a western theme for their rootin’ tootin’ freestyle. But is it enough to get that elusive 10 from Len? Carrie Ann says this is her favorite finals and this was her favorite dance of the night. Len says Donald took a huge chance and it was fantastic. Bruno says this dance was a country-inspired triumph. 10-10-10 means Donald finally got that perfecto from Len. The team ends the night with a total of 59.

The three teams gave it everything they had in one of the most entertaining finals ever. Now only one question remains: WHO WILL WIN?!
