Results Show – Week 10: The Finals
All the stars of Season 14 are back for the grand finale of one of the most competitive seasons ever. William Levy, Katherine Jenkins and Donald Driver must perform one more time before a winner is chosen. So let’s get this dance party started!
We are treated to an encore performance of the freestyle dance Donald and Peta did the night before. More fun comes when Sherri Shepherd returns to the dance floor for a routine done to “It’s Raining Men.” As you may have guessed, she’s surrounded by male dancers for this crowd-pleasing performance.
Jack Wagner and Gavin DeGraw also return to the stage in separate performances to prove they haven’t forgotten all they’ve learned from their dance partners. Gladys Knight also comes back to show her moves, but Tom can’t wait to hear her sing. Jaleel White channels his inner-Shaft to make his triumphant return to the stage.
Melissa Gilbert returns to the stage with the dancing Chmerkovskiy brothers. Roshon Fegan was bummed that he didn’t have an opportunity to perform a freestyle dance. He finally gets his chance to make up for that doing a fun routine with partner Chelsie.
William Levy is the first finalist to perform during the show as he does a fine Salsa with Cheryl. Len says that he deserves all the 10s he gave him during his run. Bruno says nobody does sexy Salsa like William. Carrie Ann believes what makes him special is that he has true star quality. Trip 10s from the judges gives them a perfect 30 for their final dance of the season.
Katherine and Mark take the stage to do a rockin’ Jive. Bruno says Katherine is one of the most wonderful dancers they’ve ever had on the show. Carrie Ann thinks Katherine and Mark set the bar so high all season. Len says that Katherine is the complete package. Three more 10s gives this team the second perfecto of the night.
Donald and Peta hit the floor to perform one final Cha Cha Cha. Things heat up right away as Donald loses his shirt, much to Carrie Ann’s delight. She says that Donald is such a fierce competitor and that he’s the one to beat. Len feels that Donald is the best football player they’ve had on the show. Bruno says Donald really had the strategy of a champion and he peaked at the right time. Trip 10s from the judges gives this team the third perfect score of the night.
Gladys Knight sings a song to a montage that serves as a fitting tribute to Season 14. Then it comes time to reveal the team that is the first to be eliminated. Finishing in third place for the season is William and Cheryl. Then there were two. When all is said and done, Katherine and Mark take second place. That means the winners of the coveted Mirror Ball trophy and Season 14 champions are Donald Driver and Peta Murgatroyd!
