“Cuchillo (the Knife)” earned his nickname after avenging his father’s murder against three gun-toting thugs, while armed with only a rusty switchblade. Born and raised in Havana, Cuba, and with a fierce loyalty for his boss, Cuchillo quickly rose up the ranks of the Guzman crime family; which is why when Tom Dempsey asked to forge an alliance with his New York syndicate, Cuchillo was the obvious choice to act as ambassador.
