Louise returns home to let Brian know that she wasn’t away on a photo shoot. She was in rehab for prescription drugs. She wants to start fresh with no secrets between them. Unfortunately, there is one very big secret being kept. Alexis lets Louise know that she’s become involved with a married man. Needless to say, this puts Brian a little on edge. Alexis tells him the universe wants them to be together. She also claims to be the reason why he’s suddenly writing up a storm.

After Brian makes it clear he doesn’t want anything to do with Alexis, mysterious forces seem to work against him whenever he tries to write. Alexis says he writes when he’s with her. He’s blocked when he’s with Louise. The two of them kiss passionately. Later, Alexis lets Gavin know that she doesn’t want to keep doing this to Brian even though she owes him.

Gavin wants his mysterious red box back. That’s why Kandinsky is torturing the guy who took it—Victor Shaw. Actually, that’s not his real name. Shaw’s father’s name is Joseph Lukin. Gavin says the guy was willing to do anything to succeed including abandoning his own son. He then learns from Shaw that his daughter, Sasha, killed herself because she found out who her dad really was. Olivia suggests that Gavin fight fire with fire by attacking Shaw with his weakness. They need to do whatever it takes to get back the red box.

Shaw awakens from a hazy state to find his father, Joseph Lukin, sitting before him. It’s all an illusion created to get Shaw to reveal the location of the red box. Gavin heads over to the church where it is hidden. The priest there knows what he wants although he thought that Gavin could never enter such a hallowed place. Elsewhere, Shaw drops the bombshell on Olivia that her daughter is still alive. He knows where she is. He’ll take Olivia to her. All she has to do is let him go. So she does.
